04.07.07 | «Coaching trends in Russia» Professional Association of Russian-speaking Coaches (PARC) Conference, Moscow, July 2, 2007


     Dear Colleagues,
 
     We are happy to announce that nearly 100 coaches, clients and media representatives took part in the Second PARC conference devoted to the evaluation of current trends in coaching business in Russia. Being designed as a tool for best practice sharing and coaching profession development in Russia the Conference reflected wide range of tendencies and approaches coaches use to create successful coaching business.
     Overview and analytical reports on Coaching market in Russia by leading experts, clients and coaching schools representatives during the first part of the Conference triggered various discussions for Open Space in the second part of the day.

  7. Anna Barabanova - "Tendencies in development of coaching in organizations"
  8. Boris Krylov - "International Associations of Coaches: experience and tendencies in development" 
  9. Alexander Galchin - "Client requirements for coach’s conditioning: observations and examples from Russian market"
  10. Vyacheslav Razumov - "Coaching as a communication style and professional activity"
  11. Pavel Belenko - " Coaching: professional activity and psychologist’s PR?"
  12. Ivan Bubnov - "Risks of belief in coaching as a profession"
  13. Olga Malina – “Coaching as a part of line-managers’ development process”
     The ideas and trends mentioned by speakers were summarized during group discussion on how professional coaches’ community can influence the coaching market development.
 
     Open space discussions during the second part of the day focused on Design of Coaching Community which can help both Russian-speaking coaches and clients all over the world.
The topics discussed:
  1. Coaching standards and service quality
  2. How to create client awareness when he/she buys coaching service
  3. Coaching as an author’s business: balance between techniques, methodology and coach’s personal profile
  4. Russian coaching – what it is, does it exist?
  5. Experience, ideas and opportunities for “Y”-generation coaching
  6. Ways and means of coaching service promotion and sales facilitation
  7. How Russian coach can enter an international market
  8. Mission, Ideas, Targets and Aims for coach’s association
  9. Can Coaching Practice grow into Coaching Business?
  10. Who, why and what for needs coaching internet portal?
  11. Coaching as ideal environment for top-managers’ development
  12. Coaching for coaches: who needs it and what for?
  13. Future forecast: what will coaches do when fashion for coaching fizzles out?
     Final informal part of the conference was an intensive contacts and best experience exchange and next steps planning during sharing huge wonderful cake with symbolic name “Coaching Market”. The atmosphere of the Conference made all of us feel that coaching in Russia has a great future we can build together and we’ll definitely meet again in autumn 2007 to develop our PARC!
